I am Mara,

An embodied and authentic woman is truly a sight to behold and a powerful force for herself, her family and her community.
As an expander and illuminator, I help women give birth to their truest essence and I’m here to hold the torch for your becoming.
It was when I birthed my first daughter at home, in 2009, that I was called to traditional midwifery as a portal for holding liminal space.
When my second daughter died in utero at 38 weeks, my whole universe collapsed. Devastated and disoriented, I descended into a dark night of the soul and it was a year before I came up for air. I almost destroyed myself and everything I held dear.
Through my direct dance with death, I became intimate with grief, but also with humility. Living with impermanence gives us the opportunity to lean into our one big life with reverence. Over the years, I have developed practices to help others through times of darkness and transformation, a way back to their essential flame, with grace for the journey.
What I know to be true…
